Utilities & Service
The Utility Services Department oversees water and sewer services for Oak Ridge North. Duties of the department include:

Residential and commercial water deposits

New water, sewer, and solid waste connections

Requests for new services may be made in person, by fax, or by email. Services will be connected when a Utility Service Application for residential and commercial utilities is completed and the service deposit is paid. This agreement is required by the TCEQ and every customer must sign this agreement before the city can establish service. A copy of your driver's license is required. There is a deposit for water and trash service and for trash service only. If service to an existing connection has been terminated or suspended, the city will not re-establish service unless it has a signed copy of this agreement. Services cannot be provided until all information and deposits are received.

Electricity
Residents in the 77386 zip code must call Entergy for electric service and/or maintenance. Contact ENTERGY HERE.
Residents in the 77385 zip code may choose their electric power provider or contact CenterPoint Energy HERE.
Natural Gas
CenterPoint Energy Entex provides natural gas to the entire City. To initiate services please contact CenterPoint by clicking this LINK.
Report an Outage
Street lights in the City of Oak Ridge North are owned and maintained by Entergy and Centerpoint. You can report an outage to them directly by clicking here or by calling them directly at 1-800-Entergy. The City would also be happy to submit it for you as a courtesy. Please call City Hall for this service.
Trash & Recycling Pick-up
Collection in Oak Ridge North
The city contracts with Waste Management of Houston to manage and operate its solid waste collection and disposal services.

Household garbage is collected every Monday. Please have your waste at the curb by 7:00 AM. Household waste and yard waste are collected at the curb and is limited to the City of Oak Ridge North trash cart.
IMPORTANT: The waste collection will be limited to the City of Oak Ridge North trash cart- no additional bags unless tagged. If you have extra trash, tags can be purchased from City Hall. You can also purchase additional trash cans if necessary.

Branches and tree trimmings must be no greater than three inches in diameter, cut, tied, and bundled in four-foot lengths weighing no more than fifty pounds. Please see the Waste Management Schedule and Pickup Information flyer for more information.

Recyclables are picked up on Wednesdays. Recycle carts are available at City Hall. Place your recycle cart on the right side of your drive by 7:00 AM. Please do not leave your carts at the curbside on non-pickup days.
