The goal of this web page is to provide a communication link between you and your city government and to provide citizens with quick and easy access to information and services. This is a service that is continually under development. Every effort is being made to try to keep the information timely and accurate. MISSION STATEMENT: VISION STATEMENT: Oak Ridge North is located on the east side of Interstate 45, nestled amongst pine trees and steadfast oaks, across from The Woodlands Mall, south of the City of Shenandoah, and north of Spring, in south Montgomery County, Texas. Montgomery County was named after General Richard Montgomery of American Revolutionary War fame. Among the early settlers was Benjamin Briggs Goodrich who helped organize the County. The early population settled in and around the town of Montgomery, the original county seat and the site of the county’s first post office. Between 1847 and 1880, the county had a steady growth that reached 10,154 The City of Oak Ridge North began in 1966 as the Oak Ridge Subdivision, a development of Associated Properties, Inc. In 1978, prompted by concerns of annexation by the City of Houston, the Oak Ridge North Civic Club was formed by citizens of the community in order to investigate the possibility of incorporation and to determine how to provide better local police protection. In response to these concerns, The City of Oak Ridge North is a community of approximately 3,600 residents, has approximately 155 commercial enterprises, and encompasses an area of two square miles. We are a zoned community and have excellent major retail opportunities with I-45 frontage, as well as excellent neighborhood business district or light manufacturing availablities with excellent frontage.
