What is the W.I.S.E. Guys program?
The City has partnered with the Wise Guys program to offer a free evaluations designed to increase the efficiency of your irrigation system and possibly lower your monthly water bills. The city has contracted with Water Irrigation System Evaluations (W.I.S.E. Guys) to provide Oak Ridge North residents with a comprehensive evaluation of your irrigation system that will be formed by trained and licensed Oak Ridge North employees, at no cost to you.
The program sends Oak Ridge North licensed irrigator to evaluate existing residential irrigation systems and make recommendations for improvement to the performance of the system and to the scheduling of the controller to reduce unnecessary water waste.
Why Participate?
A few years after installation all irrigation systems need proper maintenance. Sprinkler heads can break or become ineffective; plant material grows to block spray patterns, or water pressure changes. In addition, there have been significant advancements in irrigation system technology that will increase the effectiveness of your system dramatically. Now is the perfect time to take advantage as changes can be made in advance so your system is ready to go for the next growing season.
How Does the W.I.S.E. Guys Program Work?
After enrolling online, a trained licensed city irrigator will contact you within three (3) days to make an appointment for an evaluation – at no charge. The evaluation will provide you with valuable information on your irrigation system and potential problems and inefficiencies. We hope this data will allow you to use your irrigation system more efficiently and effectively, conserving resources and saving you money each month.
Once you enroll online, the information regarding the evaluation that was completed will be available to you through the web at any time. This includes the recommended scheduling for your system and any changes that you may be considering.
Will the Oak Ridge North Irrigation Inspector fix any existing problems with the irrigation system?
No. The Oak Ridge North Irrigation Inspector will not make any repairs to your system. The service is an evaluation only. The Oak Ridge North Irrigation Inspector will make the recommended adjustments to the system controller only if the customer allows such adjustments.
